Grumpy Contacts was conceived as an enhanced version of Joomla!'s built-in contact component. The current version is 1.2.3 with these features:

• Contacts can be connected to Joomla! users
• Users can edit their own information in the front end.
• Administrators and Super Administrators can edit any contact in the frontend
• Users can register via Grumpy Contacts (can be used in place of the standard Joomla registration)
• Listings with up to 9 selectable columns
• Fully customizable detail views with contact form
• Select specific fields for text searches by Joomla and internal search forms
• Directory listing of categories
• Directory listing grouped by company, city, state, postal code or country
• Multiple categories for each contact
• Custom fields - now available for import/export and on listing views
• Translations for German, Spanish, French, Italian and Chinese

• Integration with Google Maps
• Search by distance from postal code (via view or included module)
